Sessions: Full-time (48 week course) or Part-time (96 week course)

Full-time (48 week course) 5 days per week, 4.5 hours per day, plus 80 clinic hours
Part-time (96 week course) 2-3 days per week, 4.5 hours per day, plus 80 clinic hours.
Additional community service hours are required

Class Times & Days
Classes are offered at 3 convenient times:

AM    Monday – Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M.
PM    Monday – Friday, 1:00 P.M. to 5:30 P.M.
EVE   Monday – Friday, 6:00 P.M. to 10:30 P.M.

New terms begin approximately every twelve weeks. NYIM reserves the right to add or cancel any class start date or session it deems necessary.  Every consideration will be given to students, assisting in their enrollment in an alternate session or date, as enrollment space permits.

Start dates and breaks are subject to change due to weather conditions or any other extenuating circumstances.  Breaks are given between most terms and range from 2-5 class days.

Courses are separated into four (4) twelve-week terms.  All students will begin their course work by taking Anatomy & Physiology.  Full-time students will also take Introduction to Massage; part-time students will take Introduction to Massage upon completion of Anatomy and Physiology.  After passing Anatomy & Physiology and Introduction to Massage, the student then enters term B, C or D, classes that are taught on a rotating basis.  The maximum student/faculty ratio for lectures is 60:1; for clinic and other hands-on training it is 20:1.

Holidays

New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Day.  Students who wish to observe other religious holidays should notify the Administration for special arrangements.

School Hours

NYIM classrooms are open from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Clinic hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. (subject to change).

The Administrative offices are open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.  NYIM reserves the right to close the school and student clinic when deemed necessary.
