#1 If the applicant has not lived in the current county of residence for at least thirty (30) days, an additional background release form and fee must be submitted for a background check in the previous county of residence.

ALL Payments must be in the form of a check, money order, certified check or charge card. No cash will be accepted. Applicants will be charged $35 for any returned checks.

New York Institute of Massage
Institutional Scholarship

The primary purpose of the NYIM Institutional Scholarship is to encourage students to commit to pursuing their educational goals. Eligible students will receive up to a $2,500.00 scholarship – to be applied toward tuition, after successful completion of the Massage Therapy Program.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Student must be accepted into the LMT program.
  • Student must be matriculated – attending full-time or part-time.
  • Student must show financial need as determined by the Financial Aid office.
  • Applications must be submitted to the Admissions office 30 days prior to the start of the term the student plans to register for.

Application Requirements:

Submit an essay; not more than one page in length, detailing:

  1. Why do you want to be a Massage Therapist?
  2. What are your career goals after completion of the Massage Therapy Program?

The New York Institute of Massage reserves the right to offer NYIM Scholarships at its discretion. NYIM Scholarships have no cash value and are being offered to first time enrollees only. Students must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress as outlined in NYIM Policies and Procedures.
