The Alumni Association was developed to provide a professional membership organization to NYIM graduates. Benefits include continuing education opportunities, networking and business contacts, referral services, and membership in the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP) organization. Discounts are also available for professional insurance, massage therapy supplies, equipment, and NYIM student clinic treatments.
NYIM SUMMER PICNIC

Join the faculty and staff of NYIM for a day of fun and frolic!
Details later, but we have a LARGE Pavillion reserved for the entire day.
NYIM will provide all the picnic food (hot dogs, burgers, condiments, etc.)
You’ll need to provide your own refreshments
(also a good idea to bring a lawn chair!)
We will be raffling off PRIZES, such as Gift Certificates, and CEUs!

The next Alumni meeting is Thursday, April 11, 2013 from 7pm - 10pm. Dr. Rachel Minniefield, D.C., LMT, will be presenting a free 2-hour continuing education class on Hot Stone Safety. You must register in advance to receive continuing education credit for the class. Call 716-633-0355 for more information or to register for the class.

The Alumni Association is going to have a meeting on Thursday, October 11th from 7pm - 10pm. The meeting will give you an opportunity to meet your new officers and earn 2 free continuing education credits. The new officers are:
President - Lynette Stachewicz
Vice President - Dolores Pina
Secretary - Sarah Stabler
Treasurer - Amy Dahlin
Chris Fronczak, D.C. and Tom Pinckney, LMT will be presenting a class on Plantar Fasciitis. The class will provide 2 continuing education hours free of charge. However, to take advantage of this great opportunity, you MUST be a member of the Alumni Association. Anyone who attends the meeting, but is not an Alumni Association member will not receive any continuing education credit whatsoever. Please bring sheets and oil for the hands on portion of the class.
Because this meeting will be providing continuing education credit, you must RSVP by Monday, October 5, 2012. Seating is limited! Please call 716-633-0355 to register for the meeting.
I am very excited about the upcoming year in my presidency, and looking forward to meeting eveyone.. Also, that if we have larger turn outs, that we will be able to continue this new exciting way of continuing education.
